In Coronation Street (ITV), the surrogacy plan hatched by Toyah and Eva was on shaky ground from the first, and it looks set to become even more uneven when the baby is born this week.

How they ever thought they'd pull the wool over everybody's eyes is a mystery, while Eva hasn't thought about the emotional side to the situation - after giving birth in the bathroom at her rented cottage, she's whisked away to hospital where, despite her best efforts not to, she forms a bond with her daughter.

Back in Weatherfield, Toyah tells a series of lies to cover her tracks, and while Peter celebrates the birth, Simon becomes increasingly jealous - clearly being a doting big brother is not on the cards.

Joe feels uncomfortable when Noah tries to bond with him by asking him to take him to the places where he hung out with their dad (Emmerdale, ITV). After Noah storms off on his bike, Joe follows him through the woods to a quarry, where it seems the brothers might finally connect - until a dare goes dramatically wrong.

Meanwhile, Rishi has a date but he's feeling nervous. He hatches a plan, though, and enlists Frank's help by asking him to listen in on the date and feed him lines through an earpiece - however if romcoms have taught us anything, it's that such set-ups rarely yield the desired results. Sure enough, it's not long until Megan gets the wrong end of the stick after she overhears Frank's whispered words, and jumps to conclusions.

Elsewhere, Lachlan has cause for concern when he learns that Belle has been hearing the voices again...

As she deals with the loss of her stamp collection, he tries to cheer her up over dinner. They form a bond, but then Jane receives news that will shock all longstanding Neighbours viewers, forcing her to return to London. Paul hands over her grandmother's painting as a leaving gift - but there's something even more precious inside...
