IT'S the week of David's court case, (Coronation Street, ITV) and he's struggling to cope with the enormity of the situation. Emma confides in Maria about how distant he's been towards her, and after Maria then confronts him, he tries to break off the relationship.

Later he announces his plan to attend court alone and kisses his children goodbye, aware that he might not be returning home for some time. However, he absconds and is later found in the urban garden by Shona, and eventually tells her exactly why he went off the rails.

Later, the police arrest him for failing to turn up for his trial. Shona thinks now is the time to reveal what happened to him, but he refuses and swears her to secrecy. That doesn't, however, prevent her from accusing Josh of rape and promising to make sure he goes to jail for the crime.

Meanwhile, Aidan works out that little Susie could be his daughter and clears the air with Eva before a shocking turn of events rocks the cobbles.

It turns out that not everyone in the Square loves a bad boy (EastEnders, BBC1) - this week, it's nice guy Martin who appears to have both his former wives wondering whether they should have stuck with him all along.

Stacey is impressed when he puts his back out defending her honour from a flirty clubgoer at E20's bank holiday party. However, it's Sonia who gets to nurse him and when Bex notices how much her mum is enjoying his company, she encourages them to go to Kathy's birthday party together. But Sonia has a fight on her hands when Stacey turns up as well...

Mel can't hide her concern when Jack also gets caught up in the club's bank holiday punch-up, but she soon has bigger things to worry about when she fears Aidan may have returned.

Phil recruits Robbie as a double agent after Rainie offers him a job at the car lot, Mick has an alarming encounter in the Vic's barrel store, and Billy tries to win Honey back with a big gesture. Meanwhile, Kim wants answers about Vincent and Ingrid prepares to say goodbye to the Square.

In Emmerdale (ITV), Bob - who's been married six times to four different women - still hasn't got the hang of stag parties as he chooses to spend his alone in the pirate ship, brooding over Laurel and Ashley.

The hen night isn't much fun either as Brenda smiles through gritted teeth when Laurel reluctantly joins in. However, the wedding itself is set to be even more awkward when the groom is seriously late. It turns out it's not entirely his fault, but will Brenda be prepared to listen to his explanations?

Elsewhere, Charity is warned by the police to stay away from Bails, but when she later sees him soaking up the crowd's admiration after Tracy takes the stage at a conference, she may not be able to hold her peace.

Gerry agrees not to ask Lachlan any more questions about the crash but doesn't let the matter drop entirely as he retrieves the deleted voicemail. Debbie succumbs to Joe's charms, Bernice grows suspicious about Dan and Kerry, and Lisa returns - but for how long?
