A CLASSIC Arthur Miller play is running at Darlington Civic Theatre until Saturday (March 21).
A View from The Bridge has been cited as Miller’s most powerful and emotional play and the production by The Touring Consortium Theatre Company brings actors with a television pedigree to the Darlington stage.
The show stars Michael Brandon, whose credits include Dempsey & Makepeace and Mr Selfridge and Jonathan Guy Lewis, known for roles in Soldier Soldier, Coronation Street and Silent Witness.
Guy Lewis plays Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn dock worker obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine.
When Catherine falls in love with a newly arrived immigrant, Eddie's jealousy erupts in a rage that consumes him, his family, and his world.
The stars of the show are joined on onstage by eight Tees Valley residents who won places in the ensemble cast as part of The Touring Consortium’s community play scheme.
Tickets for A View from the Bridge cost from £17.40.
