POLICE are investigating reports that a woman in a “bouffant blonde wig” and sunglasses tried to force her way into a home and demand money.
According to local reports, a woman rang the doorbell of a home in Stokesley, North Yorkshire at 8.10pm on Saturday (July 4) and attempted to push past the resident and enter the house, demanding money.
The householder was able to push the intruder out of the house and slammed the door shut on her, before calling police.
According to the Stokesley Loop, which sends out email alerts and bulletins to local residents, the woman was “possibly in disguise” with a large blonde wig or hairstyle, large sunglasses, dark gloves, a cream jumper and was approximately 5ft 5in high.
She was seen in the West Green area.
