A TEENAGER arrested following the death of a North Yorkshire musician has tonight been charged with murder.
Student Liam Paul Miller, who was 20, died of multiple stab wounds on Hamilton Drive, in the Acomb area of York, on Monday night.
The 19-year-old, who is from the York area, suffered a self-inflicted wound and was arrested at the scene.
He has further been charged with the attempted murder of a man in his fifties who suffered stab wounds after going to Mr Miller's aid.
The teenager has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at York Magistrates' Court in the morning.
Mr Miller, from Terrington, near Malton, played in a local band Nocebo and had only recently returned home for the summer from Liverpool University where he was studying graphic design and illustration.
