FIVE youths have been spoken to in relation to a barn fire in Willington last week.
The fire started at about 7pm last Monday, September 29, at Burn Farm, on the outskirts of Willington in County Durham.
About 300 tonnes of hay and straw was destroyed in the massive blaze, which could be seen for miles around.
The youths, who are understood to be aged 12, have been formally spoken to by police.
Sgt Darren Phillips said: “We’ve interviewed five local youths who are helping us with our investigation and as far as we’re concerned we’re not looking for anyone else."
