A CASH reward is being offered for information leading to a prosecution in relation to a spate of house break-ins.
Following a string of burglaries at homes in the Bishop Auckland area between August and November of this year, Durham police and the independent charity Crimestoppers have taken the unusual step of identifying a suspect.
The name and photograph of a man wanted in connection with the crimes, 26-year-old Kenneth McGregor, has been released in a bid to trace him.
Crimestoppers has offered a reward of up to £2,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
Mr McGregor is also known as Liam McGregor and is known to frequent West Auckland but has friends throughout Bishop Auckland.
He also has strong links with Morecambe, Lancashire.
Officers have appealed to anyone who knows Mr McGregor's whereabouts to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111 or via the online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org/giveinfo.
