POLICE closed the A6108 between Richmond and Reeth, in North Yorkshire, after a car crashed into a barrier.
Police say a woman clipped a signpost and crashed into a barrier near the village of Downholme.
The accident occurred at around 1pm on Thursday and the road remained closed at 3.10pm.
The woman, who was driving a Hyundai, was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough by Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service also sent a road ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
No other vehicles were believed to be involved in the crash.
