SERVING and ex members of the Army made a donation to help the next generation of the military.

The Spennymoor branch of the Royal Signals Association gave £90 to the Spennymoor Detachment of the Durham Army Cadet Force.

RSA branch member Pete Molloy said: “The Army Cadet Force is a great organisation for teenagers and it was an honour for me to present the cheque, I used to be an instructor in the ACF and one of the detachments I instructed at was Spennymoor.”

Staff Sergeant Instructor Natalie Neasham thanked the RSA for its generosity and said it would be a great help to the detachment and cadets.

Spennymoor RSA meets on the first Thursday of the month in the KGH Club, on Whitworth Terrace, to join call Brian Hayward on 01388-606820 or email Spennymoor.rsa@gmail.com. Contact SSI Neasham on 07799-880721 or 3710neasha@armymail.mod.uk for details about the ACF.
