A MOTHER and autism campaigner has been awarded the Best Humanitarian Award at a glitzy ceremony in London.
Anna Kennedy OBE, who is originally from Middlesbrough, won the International Achievement Recognition Award for her work improving education for autistic people.
“I was honoured to receive this award and accepted it for all the families who have children with autism,” she said.
Mrs Kennedy, a patron of the Daisy Chain charity for autistic families based at Norton, Stockton, was in the area last weekend for the sold-out Autism’s Got Talent show at The Arc, Stockton, which she said was a great success. Her charity, AnnaKennedyonline, is to hold its first ever Autism Hero Awards on Saturday, October 1. Find out more at annakennedyonline.com
