A County Durham business has opened its second location after opening a pasta shop in Darlington today.

Street Pasta, located on Duke Street in Darlington, opened today (April 3) following weeks of anticipation.

The restaurant, which began as street food vendor Tuk Tuk back in 2016, follows on from the success of their other branch on Newgate Street in Bishop Auckland which opened in 2021.

They said: “It is opening day!

“We were lucky enough to have two of the absolute best open our Darlington shop!

“The support they’ve given the business over the past couple I can’t thank them enough."

The business initially announced it would be bringing its delicious selection of food to the town at the end of February.

After they announced their opening last week, many congratulated owner Adam Fenwick and his new business partner for the Darlington shop, Mark Grey.

Residents have been praising the restaurant’s food following its opening and wished it well.

One said: “That buffalo chicken mac and cheese that I just had was out of this world.

“Thanks so much for your incredible food and I’m so happy you’ve opened a shop in Darlington.

“I will definitely be back soon for more beautiful food.”

While another said: “Good luck, Darlo is lucky to have you, your food is amazing.”

The eatery offers a selection of pasta, burgers, desserts, chicken, and drinks as part of its menu.
