Officers investigating an assault in Sunderland which left the victim with serious injuries have identified a man whose image was released.
An investigation has been ongoing since the attack which occurred on Vine Place at about 1.15am on Sunday, February 11.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "For reasons to be established, the victim was punched to the head and was knocked unconscious.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
