The Met Office has predicted some showers and a cloudy start with bright or warm sunny spells in Darlington.

Cloud cover will darken at 1pm and 2pm but is not expected to produce rain.

By late afternoon the cloud should have broken and the sun is expected to be out by late afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to be moderate throughout the day, resting at around 14C.

There will be highs of 15C and lows of 10C, with the sun due to set at 20:52pm.

Cloud gradually breaking up into sunny spells from the west, any low cloud and fog retreating towards the North Sea. Rather cloudy but bright and dry in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Low cloud drifting inland again from the North Sea, though parts of the west will see some long clear spells which will likely allow some areas of fog to form. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
