DARLINGTON’S Graeme Armstrong will on Thursday appear at a talk-in to which all supporters are invited.

The event has been arranged by Quakers fans Paul Hodgson and Ian Carter and takes place at the Railway Tavern, North Road, starting at 8pm.

On Saturday against Whitby Town Armstrong made his first appearance since May when he suffered a seriois abdominal injury in the play-off final win over Bamber Bridge.

He had collided with opposition goalkeeper Lee Dovey and spent a month in Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, undergoing an eight-hour operation to remove half of his pancreas.

Having gradually stepped up his training of late, Armstrong came off the bench on Saturday for the final 20 minutes, receiving a warm reception from supporters of both clubs having previously played for Whitby, and now hopes to play in the first game of the season at Buxton on August 15.

Entry on Thursday is £3 with funds raised shared between PIMM Productions and the Back To Darlo Fund.
