Owner David Metcalfe has decided against supplementing Mecca's Angel into the Qipco British Champions Sprint at Ascot on October 17.
Having missed the Prix de l'Abbaye on account of fast ground at Longchamp on Sunday, Darlington trainer Michael Dods had hinted there might be a possibility the Nunthorpe Stakes winner could run over six furlongs for the first time since her juvenile days.
However, Metcalfe feels she has done enough, although she will be seen more next year as it will be her last season racing before becoming a broodmare.
"We've decided not to pay the £40,000 which it would have cost to supplement her," said Metcalfe.
"Ascot was never in the plan at all and I'm not into deviating from plans.
"So that's it for this season, she's done enough for us in winning a Group One.
"What I will say, though, is that she'll run more next year, and we'll probably try her over six, because it will be her last season.
"I'll sell her then, I've no interest in breeding from her so somebody else can do that.
"We've only had one bid for her and that wasn't enough, but I think that is because I've no desire to see her racing in anyone else's colours."
