ALBERT ADOMAH and Jordan Rhodes have both been left out of Middlesbrough's starting line-up for today's game at West Brom, amid mounting speculation linking the pair with a move away from the Riverside ahead of Wednesday's transfer deadline.

Adomah, who has turned down the offer of a new deal at Boro and is set to join Aston Villa, is not part of Boro's matchday squad at the Hawthorns.

Rhodes, who is the subject of interest from a large number of Championship clubs, is on the bench as the Teessiders look to bounce back from Wednesday's surprise EFL Cup defeat at Fulham.

Aitor Karanka has made one change from the side that started last weekend's win at Sunderland, and it is enforced with George Friend having injured his ankle at Craven Cottage.

Daniel Ayala returns in Friend's place, with Antonio Barragan moving across from centre-half to deputise at left-back.
