The first pictures have emerged as a major structure was demolished today in an explosion.
The Redcar Coke Ovens (RCO) Gas Holder was demolished by explosives on Friday (April 28) as developments continue on the Teesworks site.
The 62 metre tall structure was brought down with one controlled explosion.

This is the final explosive demolition taking place in respect of the RCO, after the main structure was brought down in June last year.
There are no planned road closures due to the demolition and disruption to the surrounding area will be kept to a minimum.
Pictures of the detonation showed construction workers look on as the historic structure was toppled throwing up a cloud of dust and debris.
A Teesworks spokesperson apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the community for their understanding.

They said: "On Friday 28 April at approximately 2pm, crews will be conducting an explosive demolition to bring down the Redcar Coke Ovens Gas Holder on the Teesworks site.
"This is the final explosive demolition taking place in respect of the Redcar Coke Ovens, after the main structure was brought down in June last year.
"The 62m tall Gas Holder will be brought down by one controlled explosion.
"There are no planned road closures and disruption to the surrounding area will be kept to a minimum.

This follows the demolition of the neighbouring RCO screen house which was knocked down two weeks ago (April 14).
When the steelworks are demolished, earth clearance and ground remediation is set to take place to prepare the land for development.
